SAVE THE SPECIES CAMPAIGNS Annual Save the Species campaigns raise awareness and funding for targeted palm conservation projects around the world. In 2024 the International Palm Society, supported a partnership between Institut Agronomique néo-Calédonien (IAC), and the “Table Unio” tribe of the Bourail commune to protect Basselinia vestita, a rare and under-researched palm species native to New Caledonia.
